3/I remember you telling us about your private practice and how you had to end it because patients were becoming intolerable, ignorant, and closed to new ideas as well as thinking their 3 hours of youtubing healthcare conspiracy videos made them know more than the person diagnosing them. 4/Believe it or not, when I first joined, i actively avoided vaccination conversations. Not because I had a different opinion back then, but mostly because I deal with asshats like these in real life as well all the time. 5/This week, a patient came in to the pharmacy and accused me of mass murder. she had this meme printed out on a piece of paper. I had a tech translate it for me. Basically this french doctor claims that the mRNA vaccines causes the covid virus to spawn new mutations. These mutations will then go on to cause millions of deaths and they will be counted as "covid deaths" instead of "deaths due to the covid vaccine". And this is the great conspiracy to lower the worlds population.

6/The woman was hysterical so we had to remove her from the premises. However, I decided to go down the rabbit hole do some pre-debunking in case this conspiracy does gain steam. 9/This was taken wildly out of context to mean that the vaccine is actually creating the mutations. What it really means is that since the vaccines may not cover every variant and mutation, the ones it does protect against will die off and the mutations(if not covered by the vaccine) will emerge stronger.

12/70 years of Polio vax has caused NO long term effects. It is not feasible to wait 70 years to study and figure out if the mRNA vaccines might make you grow wings and horns. Do not freak yourself out reading about potential long term side effect hypothesis' from scientists. This is how the medical process works and most of the time, it ends up being much ado about nothing.

The worst form of virus literally cannot continue to spread when it kills hosts. @wziminer My daughter just had to get a PCR test because her friend, that is in her social bubble and works for a dr.s office and gets tested weekly got sick, had a rapid test negative and pcr test positive. She was with her friend on Monday and the girl got sick on Tuesday. It's a pain in the ass waiting for the test results and having to worry she might not be able to work for 2 weeks. @Analysis_Paralysis the flu vaccine as well as the covid vaccine are not live vaccines. there is no possible way to get the flu from the flu vaccine. however the flu vaccine efficacy varies year to year. you likely got it at a year where the efficacy was lower and the flu strain was more virulent. that sounds annoying. why not get the vaccine and avoid that from happening again?

@watch4thedrop I too was on the fence for quite a while. Read some anti-vax articles. Stood by and watched the results. Told my husband he should consider it given his susceptibility to pneumonia. @DarkTruth well theres only 3 approved in the US now and i dont have any concerns so far for them. I think AZ will turn out to be fine too but i have not threaded about it yet. im expecting it to be approved next month. the only real concern atm is allergic reactions

@stephanieanne nope. play on words. pfizer announced that in it's studies it is confirmed that at 6 months, it is still effective. Therefore 6 months of protection is confirmed definite for now. so basically it is AT MINIMUM effective for 6 months. They are now studying longer durations but there's no reason to believe that it can't last to a year or 2 years after that. step by step.
