@coolboymew I remember back in the day seeing this one motherboard in frys and thinking it was the most amazing thing in existence because it had some kind of cover(?) over the pcb or whatever. No rgb no fan no anything just like, a plastic or plastic coated sorta thing that covered the pcb

@coolboymew I kind of cared a lot about them when Ryzen was fresh and I had to build a new PC, as there were a lot of uncertainties about RAM compatibility. In the end, I actually bought an expensive one, because... well, they marketed it well. :meow: I mainly remember the advertised higher durability and better audio quality achieved through better build-quality.

@coolboymew @shou dont think so there's excitement yeaalso yeah there def can be a sound difference for recording, but in 100% of the cases its better to buy an external (usb) sound card anyways if you need that quality

@coolboymew I got me because no real issues of me wanting to do dual m.2s when life allows it and it won't disable stuff if put stuff in the pcie slots sure it isn't great because Gbit enternet but would be fine for me.

@coolboymew @shou i was checking motherboards for high quality build in sound cards on my last pc upgrade (about a year ago?)and the verdict was: there's no comparisons or details about that stuff anywhere. basically "yeah whateverthefuck, we have super high quality crisp audio sound card built in, to ensure highest quality audio input and outputs!" but there's no hard numbers or comparisons anywhere to be found.my new one definitely has less minescule interference and better quality than the last motherboardand its still nothing compared to the external audio card, the difference is rather extreme (also ASIO is based)

@lebronjames75 @coolboymew @shou i remember some hardcore autist websites did some actual testing of soundcard comparisons by connecting them together and comparing the waveforms/spectrograms and shiet, but given how everything is digital and even analogue stuff being imprecise it's hard to tell how good stuff actually is.I mean you could tell if it's adequate or not, but if something is better than the other thing... you're limited by precision and "goodness" of metering device
