@chj0 English doesn't borrow words from other languages. English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them on the head, then goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

@chj0 no French does the butchering! chemin /ʃə.mɛ̃/ from Late Latin cammīnus /kaˈminus/. who does that? how am I supposed to learn that? Spanish has camino /kaˈmino/ this is outrageous :Angry:
