@kumicota LOL I still have my first live CD I ever burned. Ubuntu 10.10. I used to use it as my "known good" CD to make sure a PC could boot from a disc

@engineer_kappa @kumicota I started with Kurimin 7 back in 2009 and tried many others like Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, Litrix, OpenSuse, CentOS.Ubuntu 10.04 didn't like my wifi card (a 802.11n-draft) in my old HP dv6 1238NR from PY.More later I tried Arch, Mint, Gentoo and OpenBSD. Now I only use Arch.

@engineer_kappa @kumicota here I kept a i7-2600k and replaced a toasted gtx680 by a rx580.My laptop toasted the chipset and one ram stick, this was the opportunity to bought a Thinkpad and replace some parts from my Clevo W35. Was a great purchase this used Thinkpad, I only needed to patch bios to replace Lenovo's logo and remove wifi whitelist since I replaced 5 parts (cpu, ram, ssd, wifi, display {a 768p by 1080p}).Cirno for legacy mode and random wizard for uefi mode.

@null31 @engineer_kappa blessed thinkpad. A friend offered me his t640 for 700 bolsonaros(about 127 trumps) where the keyboard didn't worked anymore(it was 600 reais to replace it for an original one) so he would sell it to me discounting the price of the keyboard as he has a new laptopEveryday I wonder if I should had taken his offer

@kumicota @engineer_kappa yeah, a blessed thinkpad, I read too much about it in /g/.You should have accepted his offer. I had luck to found a conserved T530, well, had only one in ML and I paid 1800 brl in september... someday I'll buy the classic 7-row keyboard to replace the current and maybe a new and bigger battery.

@otyugh I used windows 7 to guarantee success, because I didn't wanted to mess with a SPI flasher to do a future bios unbrick.

@null31 Wise. Anyway windows seem to accept to be just plugged in/out from any system by now, so i always have a drive with a blank windows on it. Time to look for a thinpad bios flasher ! Thanks <3

@otyugh I just remembered this project to flash from a live tty.https://github.com/n4ru/1vyrain/But to include the logo, you need to run the executable to find logos and attach to bios file (.fl).
