@yakub I actually don't care about his political correctness or any of the controversy around him being kicked out/re-hired.My concern comes from the fact that he's a neck-beard dinosaur and the FSF desperately needs fresh blood, IMO.If the FSF wants to stay relevant, it needs a reboot.

@kevIts not that surprising given how close Stallman is to the FSF, in some ways he IS the FSF or at least its physical and 'spiritual' embodiment.Regardless of personal opinion Stallman has been and continues to be an important but very divisive figure in both free software and opensource movements.Its fair to say that there would not have been a freesoftware movement without him, and Linux would not of had the gnu userland available to it to become what it is today. Makes you wonder what the future holds when strong passionate personalities like those of Stallman and Torvalds do eventually retire while corporations like Microsoft, Google and Facebook potentialy continue
