I even had to lift on up to put ont top of the other.Guess how I did it?I tilted it back and leaned it against the lower shelf.Then I pushed it up onto top of the shelf little by little, from below, keeping it at a 45-degree angle.The reason I did this was so that my brother wouldn't have to. The less work he has to do, the faster he leaves.My new house is now is packed as a warehouse with my brother's demented crap.

I have even more bookshelves than I was going to have in Vegas, so I'm going to put all my model kits out where I can look at the box tops.All I have are books, model kits, DVDs, and World War One postcards.To decorate the house, I'm going to get pulp-magazine covers blown up into posters and framed.I have this one in mint condition.

Got tons of them.Also some of my postcards.The group photos that show 175 men.You blow them up, and the detail is amazing.So FINALLY--if everything goes according to plan--I'll have my own place, exactly like I want it.And not crammed with JUNK that I don't even want.My workstation will be my parents' dining room table.ENOUGH ROOM AT LAST!It took me 60 years to get here, so YOU ALL better damn well be able to wait a few more months.Pansies.END

@Jaime The original plan was that I was going to OUR new house, and he would send all my stuff and then get rid of the houses and everything here.After he evicted me over NOTHING, I decided to take out parents' house--which I know and which is fully furnished.He was using it as a warehouse, so there's no room. I had to shift several tons of crap just to bring in my stuff.I'll leaving when he comes here so I don't unscrew his head like a light bulb.

@ThomasWic Sounds like you're having a wonderful time building your dream home. Please be careful moving heavy furniture and be sure to secure those bookcases against tipping over. One tip, get some old fashion roach powder, the type with boric acid, and place some behind each case & in the back of cabinets. It will kill all insects, roaches, silverfish, etc. It will remain active as long as it stays dry.

@ThomasWic I got two siblings that finally moved out two years ago after mooching for fifteen years off our parents. My hope is after the Covid nonsense is finally in the rear view mirror we'll be able to clean out our garage of stuff that's been in there a long while.Some of it from when we first got our house twenty years ago, and the rest has been there after an incident seven years ago that's too much to go into right now.I wish the best of luck on getting your place finished, Thomas! 😎
