If the admin doesn’t profit from the users, the admin owes the users nothing. He is free to do whatever he wants with his website. I’m not saying it’s right, it’s just the reality.I think sites who accept money from users are usually more professional.

This guy was manufacturing sockpuppets to avoid blocks, used them to post things to get FSE blocked elsewhere, and attempted to circumvent bans, including making a new alt within a minute of the old one getting banned and ignoring warnings to stop. He's done nothing but cause trouble since before he arrived on FSE and I don't really give a damn what he does when he's off this server, but he won't stay off. All he's done since is make threats, so the parody account that has replaced his account will accumulate all-caps posts until I stop hearing about this stuff, a comparably mild response.

If you say "No, that's stupid, fuck off", he'll declare his plans a success and call it a meltdown and screenshot it, if you try to explain to him why, he'll do the same thing. But if you just block him, then you won't have to type anything, he'll periodically stalk you (how flattering) and most importantly, this automates your end of the interaction and you don't have to think to yourself, "Why the hell would anyone type that on purpose?"

Determining value depends on one's opinion wrt motives. Rules are more objective and determine wrongful or permissible actions. Considering Good and Bad relies on motive and that is not helpful in this case. If an actor has to be required to submit to proving his motives, or that his actions are in line with certain motives, this imo is not a helpful rule.
