@timr So the Pro Act passed in the House. This bill would outlaw freelance workers in over 400 professions ALL OVER THE US. Now it heads to the Senate. It's like the AB5 bill that killed off MILLIONS of freelance jobs in California, only worse. The unions will get access to your private information and know HOW YOU VOTE.

@Lisa22 @timr Wonder if gig workers, like freelance writers, could firm an LLC & have employers make payments to their business rather than to individuals. Would that be a smart workaround and defeat the goal of the fed version of AB5?

@BirdDog @timr There are people on Facebook having nervous breakdowns right now about this passing...but I don't think it will get through the Senate.

@FlyoverRed @timr I'm not sure about that. I know the AB5 law made it so that gig workers could not work because companies didn't want the risk of getting fined. Already small companies are being fined $hundreds of thousands.
