@Toni@brighteon.social I'd take this a step further and have no tax deductions for "charitable donations" which are not really charity but business transactions. Just give to people you want to help and don't look for something in return. That's real charity.

@Toni@brighteon.social There are charity events where rich people auction off their wine to highest bidders, where money goes to charity and the rich get the tax write offs. What happens is that they swap collections (keep the wine), receive tax credits, and give money to the charity they somehow control or benefit from anyway.
