Also, I don't like the fact that Tuxedo Computers inserted their own repos in the default Ubuntu config.And added some non-standard software in their Ubuntu installation.

@ParadeGrotesque I'm still on 18.04LTS, & I'm not totally convinced I'm going to stay with Ububtu, or go to something else. Its main attraction was low barrier to entry when I switched from Windows XP, but maybe I have enough experience with *nix now to try something a little more challenging.

Now, about 48h later: good quality computer, powerful configuration, with 12 cores AMD Ryzen 5, 64GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD.Keyboard is OK, but a bit weird (QWERTY US keyboard, with what appears DE markings).Everything runs very smoothly under Ubuntu 20.04. VirtualBox is primed and ready, so multiple VMs will soon be installed, starting with my beloved #Slackware and #openbsd ... Only default so far is the webcam, which is hyper saturated. My black sweat shirt appears almost light blue... 🤔

Minimalist working from home desktop. Dell laptop is work. "X" is new personal machine.I like the way they both tuck neatly under the curved Samsung monitor. I now need to find a way to reduce cabling. Will try the Bluetooth Logitech keyboard with integrated touchpad. Also: Bluetooth earbuds.

@js I ordered it about a month ago, but I was not aware you needed to pre-order it... ?So far the quality is excellent, and I have nothing but good thing to say about it. @ParadeGrotesque Why did you get it with a US keyboard and they later say the US layout is weird? How is the touchpad, compared to MacBook Pro?

@js Touchpad is good. Not as good as a MacBook, but sensitive and responsive. 2 fingers scroll works great. No complaints about it.Keyboard is a bit weird, as I am used to having clearer markings. If you take a look at the picture, the '[' and ']' (square braces) keys have the '{' and '}' (curly braces), in a lower left position. I am used to having one symbol with another on top, both of the same size. It's a minor issue, but it makes the keyboard a bit less readable.

@js To be honest, these are very minor nit pickings.Overall, I am very satisfied with that machine, and I can definitely see myself happily working on it for a long time.
