@kev What are you looking at getting? Dual sport? Another sporty bike? Goldwing aka Lazyboy on wheels?

@kev oh man. Thatโ€™s difficult. Wishing you the best. I fought that struggle a few years ago and lost. Havenโ€™t brought it back up since. Too scared.

@kev allow me to give you my successful strategy for convincing the wife to let me buy an RX8. The argument to make is that you need two so if one breaks down, you can use the other one while you fix it.

@kev A few ideas: 1) Make it electric and you are saving the world. Also saving money on fuel. 2) Maybe get ABS so it's "safer". This could also apply to a bigger bike. My wife thought my friends 1400cc Ninja looked "safer".

@kev I once had to ride a heavy 125 up and down the hills of the Yorkshire Dales. That was an uphill struggle.

@kev In the cycling world this formula is often quoted:The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.While the minimum number of bikes one should own is three, the correct number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner.

@jamie @kev The Triple is such a gorgeous bike.Honestly I adore just about everything Triumph makes. Scrambler's been on my shortlist for a while now.

@rridley @jamie I love triples, my current bike (Tracer 900) is a triple. They're fantastic. I took the speed triple for a test ride a few years ago, but it was way too small (physically) for me. I ended up falling in love with a Tiger, so bought one of those. The bike I'm looking at now is actually a slow, bimbling bike just to pootle around on - I want a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. They such simple, lovely bikes.
