       well the good news is that there are many linux flavours/distributions for systems with little resources!so i think this little plan to repurpose old broken laptops for their screens with raspberry pi zeroes might be a live option, if i can’t get people to donate computers to me for my ‘Friendly Computers’ hobby!https://friendlycomputers.club

       @vidak I could give you an Indigo iMac but transportation would be a problem. It was on the street for trash, I carried it home, about 40 pounds a little more than a mile (1.5 km?)  and that seemed like a long way.  I accidentally deleted the only thing on it that would have been useful to me: os9 bc it was under a silly-looking icon.

       @vidak No prob. You and Kelbot were the first 2 geminis I looked at. I want to make one. I'm not taking that onld imac with me when I move. I tried to give away my first old computer, a collectors item, for shipping cost which even across the us with packing and shipping around just under $100 USD. I eventually put it in the trash. Wish I'd kept it for the keyboard if nothing else.
