@pagrus I think the goal is that they want kids playing in the city they live in and supporting it. Without that rule, you can (and definitely *would*) have a bunch of kids flocking to one local program that happened to have good coaches and pushing out the local kids so that they’d have to go elsewhere.

@tek Difficult to see why you should provide *three* pieces of identifying information for little-league. And then allowing them to basically do whatever they want with that information is just adding insult to injury.Sometimes I feel a bit paranoid reading "the small print", but there really *are* a$$hats in the world.#privacy

@qwxlea It does seem like massive overkill.I genuinely don’t think they’re up to mischief. Little League is a good org, I believe, and I think this was probably an oversight. These things need to be fixed though.

@ColinTheMathmo 3100 hits from HN, 7714 from other sources. I am quite thankful I ported it to Hugo a few months ago.The stats website (local Matomo) is using 1.3% CPU. Nginx is < 1%. The machine is aware anything's going on.
