@elohim I got that to work when I tried, which distribution are you using?

@linmobManjaro KDE. When I choose the OMEMO plugin it says, the plugin will be installed after restarting Gajmin. However, nothing happens. I tried this several times with restarting the app or even restarting the phone. This plugin doesn't appear on the installed plugins. The lock symbol to turn on encryption keeps non-responsive.

@elohim Ok. I did try Gajim on postmarketOS, where I used the Flathub build (the OMEMO plugin is also available on Flathub) and on Arch/#DanctNIX where I installed the plugin from the AUR. After enabling the AUR on Manjaro this might work for you, too. This might help with setting yay (a popular AUR helper) up: https://linmob.net/2020/09/05/pinephone-building-plasma-mobile-apps-from-the-aur.html#installing-software-from-the-aur
