@ThomasWic When did the usage of left vs right in politics begin to trend? I am unaware of the populism of its usage until recent. It confuses the issues and may have started this divisiveness of the progressives. Mussolini's Italy was a fascist government and he at least for a short time seemed to get along with Hitler. @ThomasWic As a conservative, I have always been annoyed at the portrayal of the Nazi's being 'right wing'. I disagree with the Nazi's on pretty much every point of their platform and they have seemed much more aligned with what I've heard coming from leftists as in the points that TW has laid out. How can one be for individual rights and less gov’t and socialism? After WWII and the concentration camps the left needed to dump that on the right. @ThomasWic I think as "far right" as it gets on an individual scale may be "Libertarian", which seems to be the equivalent of "every man is an island under government", further right than that is anarchist/ collectivist.On a form of government scale, maybe the "anti- federalists" of the founding, who didn't want a strong central government, and wanted a federation of strong sovereign states, is as "far right" as it gets.
