Thinking about the legacy of Rush and listening to him in the 90s during the Clinton era Smart, insightful and he brought humor into every situationHis style was different. It took me a while to get used to it. Then I found that he was a source for events and a perspective that I didn't find in The National Review. I listened to him regularlyUncannily perceptiveHe suffered a great deal. He left behind an enormous audience who are united. His soul is free from that disease. God bless him

@timr One of the best things that he left us was a lot of others who followed his footsteps and now are there for us now. When he started, he was about the only one, now there are many, many who are carrying on his legacy.

@knap957 Yes, he did. When the leftists were overwhelmingly dominant in newspapers, magazines and television, Rush went back to radio and restored its place.

@knap957 Yes, the next logical step as cable continued to develop and grow and the Clinton era polarized the country

@timr Howie Carr dedicated his entire 4 hr show to Rush today. So many callers gave emotional testimony to how his love for freedom & America had affected their lives. I hope I can still get his ‘Rush Revere’ children’s series of books for my grandchildren.

@timr Rush saw us into an era where Trump came in...and now Trump will carry us through to better things. I hope Rush knew that...

@timr -Here’s what I posted earlier:He was instrumental in my leaving the Left. I read his bestsellers “The Way Things Ought To Be”, and “See, I Told You So.” While WABC’s Bob Grant was Talk Radio’s Pioneer, Rush Limbaugh opened the door for many Conservative voices on the Radio and Internet.
