       @heluecht  since you run probably the largest Friendica node, how much computer power it takes to run? CPU, RAM, Disk space? We are going to release our own Friendica node to get more people to use it, so we were wondering 😀

       @tio squeet.me has got around 1,800 users with over 100,000 local posts and more than 27 million items (posts, comments and activities) in total.The system is a virtual server with 6 cores and 32 GB memory. The storage is some external storage system from my hoster. The database has got a size of 78 GB.

       hm ok I see about squeet.me so probably they are the biggest. So how much RAM out of those 32GB is your Friendica eating? Also, wow 78GB database? Is that because you store the files in database?

       @tio yes, the pictures are stored in the database. The "photo" table is about 16 GB large. Currently the system is using 24 GB memory, so there is some reserve left.

       Pirati.ca has got 16 GB RAM, 6 Cores. The database is on a single SSD that is copied to a RAID-1 with regular drives. It has got about 80 users, more than 130,000 local posts and around 2,6 million unique posts, comments and activities stored.
