       I just got an ad that somehow made it past the adblocker.It was such a weird occurrence that I panicked. How the heck did I get an ad?I started mashing buttons, trying to get rid of it before I could figure out what it was an ad for.In my desperate mashing, I must have input just the right kind of combination that crashed Firefox.Well, at least the ad is gone.

       I don't know anyone who hates ads as much as I do. I honestly believe ads are driving the destruction of our planet. Ads pollute the mind, increasing consumerism, which drives capitalism, which destroys the planet.We are not immune to ads. Our small brains are not equipped to handle the onslaught of centuries of carefully crafted commercial manipulation.

       @JordiGH  I also hate adsI hate them so muchlike...I feel like my hatred of ads is almost irrational and sometimes I stop using or buying something, because the ad annoyed me in just the right way

       @rosethorn @JordiGH No that's normal, or it should be. I use uBlock Origin, AdAway on my phone, and pirate/torrent almost all my media. Last time I had Netflix was when they shipped DVDs and I did the two months free and cancelled. I have tried to avoid all P&G products after their shitty razor ad (this is hard to do, P&G own a fuck ton of brands) I don't support anyone on Patreon who also has ads. If the 8-bit guy ever starts doing ads/bumps, I drop my support. I click past the sponsored segment in any YouToob video.Fuck ads.
