@joeligj12 I think the price I paid was extremely lucky haha. But looking on your local OfferUp/Craigslist is usually sometimes a good deal.MX Linux is currently not playing nice with this computer though (touchpad drivers not great out of the box, can't get grub recognized by bios). I may try something a bit safer and try this again later.

@ndanes I have an old x230 with an old x220 keyboard and I've used 3 different types of lenovo keyboards over the years and yes, they are the best, no discussion.

@ndanes It doesn't sound like it. Have you tried light linear switches? Stenographers prefers that, as well as myself. :)

@hund I haven't. I need to! I've always liked linears the most so maybe it's time to start exploring again :D

@ndanes @hund I'm slow on any keyboard. :) The reason I use mechanical keyboard is that it helps with fatigue/RSI and generally I find it better for ergonomic setup. Also vertical mouse.

@jb @ndanes You're looking at it wrong. Do you get annoyed with your typing speed? No? Are you really slow then? :)Three recommendations (from a mere enthusiast who have spent way too much time at the computer in the past):1. Learn proper touch typing with all your fingers2. Avoid the mouse as much as you can. Consider investing in a keyboard oriented workflow. You don't have to take it as far as I did, but anything helps.3. Use a wrist rest.

@hund @ndanes hehe, you're right! I am ok with my slow speed, but I just know I'm slow in comparison to peers. And yes, it's due to fact that 20+y in industry and I never learned proper touchtyping. Also, few subjective observations I have:* ergonomic setup is highly subjective* it's actually not bad to use mouse since it allows me to change hand position from static* wrist rest in my case made it worse since created pressure on wrist and subjectively made it worse increasing fatigue

@jb @ndanes It's never too late to learn an old dog new tricks! I learned myself proper typing when I was beyond my 30s. :)I'm not an expert, but I've read a lot about it and I know what works for me. I had a long period in life where I used to sit in front of a computer about 12 hours per day. I'm also tall and I have a back thats slightly defective since birth. I'm not sure how much that impacts anything. All I know is that I have to stay in good shape to avoid major pains. :)

@jb @ndanes Also. Once again, I'm not an expert, but I do know that I get issues when usinga mouse in a "regular" desktop workflow, with a floating window manager and graphical applications. When I'm using my regular setup which is all based on keyboard usage, I have no issues at all.I'm just telling you what works for me. :)

@hund @jb @ndanes I've found that having the keyboard tilted away from me, (tallest point of the keyboard towards me) to be really comfortable, way better than tilting "normally"

@sotolf @jb @ndanes That's called negative tilting, which is.. positive. And positive tiliting is negative. :DOne should only use positive tiliting if one have issues seeing the legends. It's very bad for your wrists. :)

@hund @jb @ndanes So that means I'm doing something that is is positive for me and negative for me?Now I'm really confused :p
