@ThomasWic @timr @masterblaster I was just watching videos on YT & this D-Day video came up. As I watched this video, my first thought was that maybe 10-15 politicians in the entire US Congress & none in this illegitimate cast of traitors in the CCP Biden Admin would have ever braved D-Day yet they "pretend" to serve & care about this nation. They dishonor all who served & those who serve now. Disgusting IMO.WW2 - D-Day. Invasion of Normandy [Real Footage in Colour]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6wG58VMFaA

@timr @HunDriverWidow @masterblaster My father who was a foot soldier was one of the first to cross the Rhine River into Germany and they were told to expect 75% casualties. These guys had balls as they went on and crossed. Montgomery had cleared the area with a nonstop artillery barrage before that. They crossed at 4 a.m. and to hear my fathers words. It was like daylight when we crossed. Truly brave soldiers.

@BuddyVery good to hear about your Dad.My father was in the D-Day landings. He was over 40 when I was born and he died when I was in my early 20s. But he talked about his experiences occasionally, although not in detail. The courage against the casualty odds was remarkable. He had scrapbook about his war years, including his time in England for training. @HunDriverWidow @masterblaster

@timr @Buddy @masterblaster Anyone with info about their father's unit, etc. in WWII can research the various websites & just might find some video or info. My father served in the US Army Air Corp CBI in China & India. I've located some websites & have started searching for info. Dad was a control tower operator at Suichwan Field in China. http://www.cbi-theater.com/backseat/backseat.html

@timr @HunDriverWidow @masterblaster Nobody can possibly imagine what the soldiers were up against, especially D-Day, but against all the odds they fought on. And you are right, my father never talked about it very much. He died at 90.

@HunDriverWidow @masterblaster @Buddy @timr My father flew 100 missions in Korea and taught pilots in Las Vegas (where I grew up) how to fly the F100. He retired right before the Vietnam War.
