It has a couple of good points, but those are outweighed by horrible enemy placement, number, and difficulty to kill, plus a fucked up camera system, and boring as shit bossesGames ugly too, despite having the potential to look greatOh, and don't forget my personal favorite, the fucking enemy tracking where they'll rotate 180 degrees mid swing to hit you

@histoire @algorithmconsultant The hitboxes, shockwave damage, and heavy focus on weapon resistances is really weird and just a bad step. Also majula fucking sucks compared to the ds1 overworld, but I think 3 fucked up there too. Pacing was pretty perfect in 1, every bon should have been warpable though.

@coyote @histoire @algorithmconsultant @notes I can understand that, it's not for everyone.I actually theorize that a lot of the things people like me love about the souls games were not so much intended mechanics, as they were unintentional byproducts of other design decisions.The souls games are honestly kinda shit, but it's exactly the kind of shit that that pokes my brain in exactly the right way, and has subsequently consumed over 1500 collective hours of my life across five games and over a decade.
