1/ Unpopular opinion number 4:This will be a longer one than usual so i'll thread itLook, I love trump as much as everyone here but all the 3D chess crap that makes him out to be some god emperor that is in control of everything is what lead to our downfall. In the 2018 midterms, the democrats stole an entire branch of government with the same exact fraud used in 2020 in tandem with fox news that called the election 10 minutes after the polls closed. After the first great steal, instead

2/ of pounding the pavement and screaming at our legislatures to stop mail in ballots, we just whined on twitter and went back to making fox news the number one cable television channel. Then people on our side started spinning rubbish theories about how god emperor trump lost the house on purpose so he can get rid of a few RINO's and install the squad to make the democrats look bad. In this country, You can't do anything without a strong

3/ peoples consensus. All these false theories did was pacify us into not doing anything about the steal the first time around. "but..but the executive orders!" They mean absolutely nothing if we don't fix our elections process on a state wide level especially in the fraudulent swing states. conservatism teaches us to rely on our own abilities, not just put everything on a god emperor. Forget about what Trump is

@watch4thedrop I think you can hope for the best (Trump saving the day) and still plan against the worst. People working together in numbers can do more than anyone would believe. As one Wall Street hedge fund is finding out.

@watch4thedrop I certainly agree with your comments about Trump and our responsibility. And I also certainly agree that losing the House would not have been planned by Trump – as if it was possible in the first place (1)

@watch4thedrop Regarding the 2018 midterms, voter fraud is not enough to explain the loss. About one third of the losses were almost certainly the result of fraud, especially because of the ballot harvesting in CA. Perhaps more, but not enough to account for the House flip.(2)

@watch4thedrop But there were other significant factors that had nothing to do with any theories about Trump’s supposed plans and were in addition to fraud. The fact is: there were far more GOP retirements than usual, and they were for the most part RINOs. I don’t like that catch-all term, but it is serviceable.(3)

@watch4thedrop One very positive result of the House loss was the acceleration of change within the House, as strong conservatives did win. Another positive result was the end of Paul Ryan’s political career. That did not require planning. It was a response to the extraordinary shift within the GOP. (4)

@watch4thedrop Also, the midterm pendulum swing against the incumbent party happens in most midterms. GOP House turnout was down slightly while Dem turnout was up. (5)

@watch4thedrop At the same time, the GOP had an outstanding year in the Senate in 2018, and bucked the trend. We came out of the 2028 midterm in a stronger position in the Senate - that is extremely rare for an incumbent party. We are still seeing the positive results now.Voter fraud was not enough to stop that

@watch4thedrop The 2018 GOP Senate victories were the most under-rated good news for conservatives since Trump's election.2018 was an outstanding year in the Senate for the GOP.The data is clear:In the 21 midterms since 1934, the incumbent party has gained senate seats in only 6 elections:FDR, 1934 +9JFK, 1962 +3Nixon, 1970 +2Reagan, 1982 +1Bush, 2002 +2and Trump, 2018 +2(7)
