Been using #librewolf for a few days now (after @derek and a few others made videos about it) and I am really enjoying it. All the good things about Firefox (including the extensions) without all the bloat and nonsense Mozilla has been doing with it. It might become my primary browser instead of qutebrowser.

(I also decided to combine this with trying the librejs extension and it feels weird. I'm supposed to let it block Javascript that isn't free and white list scripts that I think I can trust, but I don't have time to really inspect, and it often breaks the websites I'm trying to use. I feel like I'm just hitting the white list button on every website. No idea what the solution is.)

@wesley @derek It's still based on Firefox though. It's only a short-term solution. What happens when Firefox goes up in flames? With that said, I don't blame anyone for using it or any fork. It's not like it's pouring down given alternatives for the average user. :/

@hund True, but most of the alternatives are chrome based and I don't want diversity in browser engines. Most also don't have god extension support. As far as firefox forks go, it's the best in my opinion.

@Kagekokoro It's hard to say. I value not using a chrome based browser so in that regard it is good (as is any firefox fork). I feel a little too out of control of brave personally.

@hund @wesley @derek Does the source code go up in flames with it? It's possible to keep developing Librewolf, without Mozilla/Firefox.
