im reading something for a class and its talking about PTSD and trauma and i recall to when a therapist told me I couldnt have PTSD bc "i wasn't in any war therefore I can't have PTSD" and then when i told that to a prof in undergrad he, without knowing what my trauma was, said "well, that therapist was kinda right"

@raphael > "i wasn't in any war therefore I can't have PTSD"if you wanted to make a serious point you could get some friends, dress up as terrorists, kick the therapist's door down, hold them hostage for two days then take off the masks and shout "YOU'VE BEEN PRANKED, HAHA!".now wondering what kind of qualifications that therapist has.

@raphael i know that's not very helpful, but hearing about therapist bad takes makes me almost angry.i saw a small newspaper article a few years ago about a guy who'd been caught bringing a gun into a court divorce hearing, and i recognised him as my ex-wife's former therapist. "huh."
