@umad80 @Wendy Scott is an amazing young man. He is from PA and he could do a lot on the state level to clean things up. BUT I think he could do FAR more as a private citizen, creating a foundation to support the work he has been doing and recruiting volunteers nationwide. That is what i would suggest for him. Politics would suck the guts out of him.

Democrats have had the back vote for a long time. If you want Republicans to beat the Democrats they need the black vote. Once that common ground is established then you're more likely to get the other person to listen to you or get them to do what you want. Another example: the car sales man offers you a bottle of water as you enter the sales room. He's not trying to be nice. If you accept then you feel he has done you a favor. @umad80 I have the same dim view of the media voices of perpetual nagging righteous indignation, regardless of where they are in a presentation. Jeanine Pirro tops the one-dimensional acting heap for me. Can't listen to her, she became unwatchable for me within six months of Trump's election. I just wanted to say that Straka & Candace Owens (and even Kanye) did have an impact--in the beginning. Straka began the walk-away movement which I think inspired the Blexit movement. They did help many in the gay & black community "get" that they could leave the D party. And then I think it morphed into more about the attention for themselves.

@umad80 I've always thought this chap quite amazing, real bravery, standing on a street corner with a TRUMP sign, he had his car vandalised more than once and was often threatened.It's a very different prospect actually putting yourself out there, rather than sitting behind a keyboard (like I'm doing!) It's a shame he isn't tempted onto this platform. I read somewhere that he is going to run for office, I do hope this is true.

@timr I agree. I changed my voting status from Republican to Unaffiliated here in NC because of the way the GOP treated Trump after 2016, but it also means I can vote in all primaries which gives me more voting options. We need to keep the Republican Party going and make it a big tent, as the Democrat party becomes more leftist and exclusive and (hopefully) smaller. We donāt need purists and ideologues; Trump showed us what to look for in a real leader and we can cast the net wider...

And in Congress, Roger Marshall beat his Dem opponent by 12 points and two new House members, Jake LaTurner and Tracey Mann, are both conservative. All three plus Ron Estes (who replaced Mike Pompeo) voted for election integrity. The Dems are trying to flip Johnson County blue are not having luck in the other districts or statewide.
