@nic it’s crazy how all the guys I had in high opinion generally suddenly talk bitcoin and all their reasoning goes out the window. If these guys, all of similar age don’t get it, no wonder Buffet gets it.

@nic @georgevaccaro the guy clearly prepared, but at times was absolutely insufferable to listen to. If the government was as smart and singularly focused on its own preservation as he believes it is, it would have banned bitcoin a long time ago. We’ve been listening to this tired refrain of “they’re gonna ban it” for years, all they do is just timidly inch towards legitimizing it.

@nic a meticulous dissection of Mike’s feelings. Killer job Nic I loved it. You brought a tremendous amount of patience and a boat load of knowledge to unwind every misconception Mike had. Unfortunately Mike seems to let his feelings and not facts guide his view on bitcoin which makes this task arduous. Some of the comments I’m seeing on the bird site from gold bugs indicate this was probably one of the most productive debates for bitcoin no doubt because of your incredible composure & knowledge

@whiterabbit thanks man. def encouraging to see goldbugs and self-confessed nocoiners saying I changed their mind or softened their opinion of bitcoin. my strategy was to compare bitcoin to gold. relentlessly. because that's grant williams' audience (goldbugs). I think it worked. if you like gold, bitcoin makes sense. similar properties.
