He claims what the media didn't really report is that it was one of the hottest days on record for the entire north east down to Ohio; and that the grid maxed out entirely. @judgedread there are ways to do offline transactions, as well as full Bitcoin node satellites in orbit and hopefully star link will be up before a collapse. So long as it's not a solar flare, it should be possible to use the network.
