       TODAY was FREEDOM DAY!On this very fine day — I have completed my 2 year contract at work and I am free to leave at any time without penalty. I have no real plans to leave, but now I can should things change.

       @shebang What's the contract? You weren't an immigrant, right? I thought canada was super pro-worker, so I'm not sure what contract you would have voluntarily signed up for and how it would have benefited you.

       @dave I’m not an immigrant no lolBut specifically, to get into trucking I had to sign into a driver training program for two years, and if I quit before that, I had to pay two grand because of their “investment” (total bullshit) in me. No one, absolutely no one hires drivers without experience, doesn’t happen even if there is a fake driver shortage. So companies that do training get to take new hires for a ride.
