@darrenoneill the WHO doesn’t say anything like what you are claiming. They state that if a test is marginal then you should retest. They also remind people of false positives. Nowhere do they make any claims about a PCT test not being sufficient

@catbuttes Most PCR assays are indicated as an aid for diagnosis, therefore, health care providers must consider any result in combination with timing of sampling, specimen type, assay specifics, clinical observations, patient history, confirmed status of any contacts, and epidemiological information.As an aid to diagnose, not as an end all. They're saying it has to be used in correlation with other things, like, say, actual symptoms.
