Anyone got a Linux phone? I can't wait to get one. Using Graphene on Pixel4 rn... its better, but I want hardware switches, I want Linux! I want FOSS. That's what I want. What about you? Rob Braxman on Odysee points out that while we would never want an RFID chip, we willingly all are carrying phones which are actually worse, and I think he's spot on...

@intantic I have a Pinephone running Mobian and a Nexus 5 running Ubuntu Touch. One thing I will point out is that currently there are no FOSS phones. Even the Pinephone and Librem 5 require closed source blobs for the wifi and modem. Therefore none of the distros that run them are FOSS either due to needing those blobs. Regardless it is a great step in the right direction.

@PublicNuisance Thanks for your answer! How do you like it? What can't it do that you would like it to. For $199 seems like its worth a try!

@intantic I will say that the Pinephone is easily the most fun I have had with a phone in the last decade. So many options for distros, desktop environments, etc make it very customizable. The battery is removable which is a huge plus. The ability to boot from an SD card is huge as it makes it easier to test distros without installing to storage. All that being said I do have to warn that no distro I have tried is daily driver ready. It's close but not quite yet.I knew that and have no regrets

@intantic The Nexus 5 will lack the customizibility, removable battery and sd card slot that makes the Pinephone fun. It does have better battery life; has less quirks and Ubuntu Touch runs great on it so it is better suited for a daily driver for me at this point.
