       @mametsuko many people still do it wrong in dutch when learning it as a foreign language. they tend to default to 'de' when not sure which gets 'de kind' 'de huis' (should be het kind, het huis)

       @mezzodrinker @mametsuko @lain it's worse than that: the issue is that you use a different word to count objects and you MUST use it or you're talking wrongIt's like saying two slices of pizza, three heads of cattle, but it gets confusing when for example all flat things like magazines and plates share the same one, and all machines like microwaves and cars also share one...It's a common point of frustration for Japanese learners
