Damn I wasn't expecting that. I got a nice job offer and I have been to Midland for a week and it seemed like a nice small Texas town.

@rahmat congrats. Looks like that is a small town/city? Out west, almost to New Mexico.We are considering TX as well, probably near the Waco area.Driving to TX in May and will look around.

@rahmat The only time I was in Midland Odessa was to pick up a car.I was a Hughes (part of GM) employee and wanted a discounted car. They had one at the dealer in MO so I did the paperwork, flew up there, signed more papers & drove home to the Houston area with a (relatively) new car. The airport was nice, the dealer up there picked me up, and a pretty pleasant experience overall. That was over 20 years ago - who knows what has changed.The airport now claims to do commercial space as well.

@joel @rahmat depending on where he is coming from it might still be an upgrade. I live further east, but I have to drive into and all around the midland area for work.
