@InvaderXan we were on way home with car when it began to rain subzero water (the type that freezes as soon as hits windshield) and had to pull over on a roadside to scrape it clean.Cat had hazard indicators on while I was cleaning the windshield when passer by stopped to ask if we needed any assistance.Asking if somebody needs help is good deed in itself.

@InvaderXan When my dad passed away, my friend who was struggling financially still tagged along on my flight from where I lived to where my parents did.He said he didn't feel that me flying alone in that mental state felt right to him.

@InvaderXan while we were sick with covid someone from the community brought us cat food and shopping. They included a little glass jar they'd painted with their kid, which makes a lovely candle holder. They also included a few treats we didn't ask for.

@InvaderXan Since we can't or aren't allowed to travel at the moment and we hardly experience anything (new) anymore ( and certainly not much that delights us), I've started sending postcards of fictional trips to those around me. I make up what I experience and this way it seems as if I am really on vacation. I have a fun time coming up with ideas and so far, the recipients have been surprised and very pleased. It's a win-win situation for us all 😊

@InvaderXan I helped an elderly woman in the middle of the night sitting on the walkway in a nightgown. She made it back to the nursery where she escaped from, but not to the place she left it for: her home village of her childhood 😢

@InvaderXan Years ago, I lost my wallet while paragliding. Two years later, I got a call from a farmer who found it when he was feeding hay to his cattle. (It fell off the hayfork.)When I got there to pick it up, he felt awkward asking for a little reward which I gratefully gave him. He then felt awkward again and insisted that I take a 50kg bag of potatoes for it.

I should add one of my own...One time I was just walking home from the city, when there was a sudden huge rainstorm. I had an umbrella, so I managed to stay mostly dry. Then I saw a girl, standing at a crossing waiting for the lights to change. She was absolutely soaked and looked really miserable. So I gave her my umbrella. I was wearing a coat with a hood, so I was ok without it.I'm fairly sure I've never once seen her again, but I hope she's having a good day, wherever she is now.

@InvaderXan Reminds me of a rainy day when I was commuting to university by bus. A senior woman slipped when the bus started, and she hit her head. She got off at the same stop as I did, so I offered her my arm to hold on to and held the umbrella for her and walked her to the doctor (where she had been headed anyway).

@InvaderXan About 20 years ago, I got out of the elevator on my way to work and realized it was pouring rain outside. A man I'd never met before said "Oh, you take the bus to work, don't you?" and gave me his umbrella. I tried to refuse and he said, "It's fine, I've got more, and I just have to get to my car."So I thanked him and accepted.I still have that umbrella.

I've started being a tea fairy in the latest lockdown. I ordered Pu Erh for one friend who loves Chinese tea, and some interesting herbal teas for another friend. They were delivered anonymously. Then a week later saw lovely posts on facebook with pics of the tea and a message of 'who sent me this tea? thank you'. I later contacted each of them to say hello, and enjoy the tea. Now I need to find more friends who really like tea. 😀

@InvaderXan Storytime!So my car had just died because the stupid thing had a broken gas gauge. I pulled over the side of the road, just as some guy pulled over because his muffler was dragging. I was NOT looking forward to walking to get gas in heels & a hobble skirt. I offered to wire up his muffler - I had a coathanger in my car for such occasions - and did so, having done so before - and then he drove me to get gas. Double win!

@InvaderXan I was walking to the bus stop one morning when a car passed me and I saw something slide off the roof. The street wasn't busy, so I investigated. It was a woman's handbag.I quickly walked home again (was living with my parents back then) and gave the bag to Mom. Then I went to get the bus to work.Mom looked in the bag, found ID & a phone number, called & left a message.The woman, noticing her bag missing, went home. She was relieved to get the bag back. It was new & a gift.

@InvaderXan Okay, this didn't happen to me but I witnessed it.A lady came into the store and gathered about two cartfulls worth of stuff, and during checkout she offered to pay for two of the guys waiting behind her. So I just rang them up with her stuff. She was so nice I hope I see her here again sometime.

@InvaderXan This is a very painful memory for me to write, but I can't be thankful enough.During June 2013, my abusive ex boyfriend, got extremely angry because I had sex with a friend of mine after we split up. We were at the train station. At first he went away, but after a while he got back. @InvaderXan my female friend was scared and couldn't move, her bf tried to get near asap which drove away my ex.I was so in shock that I didn't even realized what was going on, and ended up going outside the train station, near the railroads. My ex got back again and tried to hit me again, at first my friend's bf stopped him, but then came this two beautiful latino woman that stopped him by force and scared him away.They were so supportive I still cry to this day.
