Ugh, fuck, I gave in and bought a new piece of gear. I'm gonna need to save up for a speaker cabinet but in the meanwhile I can use headphones and record line out. God the sound these things produce is just fucking stunning though - I've been watching demos all night and salivating. :blobcatfluffhappy: Most definitely the sound I've been looking for all these years.

@DatCat @Matatjahu It's a solid state guitar amp head. So, just an amp without a speaker, which you need to buy separately. in the form o a big-ass cabinet speaker. The usual amps you'll see are combo amps, which are both in one, but this setup will deliver a much bigger, rich sound and tone. I've only ever used combo amps. I have a few but they're just not what I'm after.People keep telling me I already have too much gear, and they're right :laughing_cirno: but the more options for tone, the better imo.

@RUSHIFA @DatCat @Matatjahu Yo, remember to throw it through an IR. MGs are super warm through them

@RUSHIFA That's super neat! I'm not a huge huge fan of the marshall tone but some of the dudes I used to play with used Marshalls and loved them@lunarised The headphone out might already come through a simulated speaker, I have a small tube amp that has a headphone out with a 4x12 emulator already on it so I record it out of the fx loop and throw an IR on that.

@DatCat @RUSHIFA While it's possible, most of the time it's not there as plenty of people line out to a line level IR pedal, or they're wanting a non ir clean sound. But def worth looking into

@DatCat I've got a bunch! Quite a few electrics, but I mainly play a little Valencia 3/4 nylon string. Main electric is a Yamaha Pacifica which is a Strat copy... first electric I ever owned and still my favourite to this day. I think I ended up buying 4 more last year. XD A Guyatone Mosrite copy, Artist 5 string bass + 7 string guitar and a Randy Rhoades Jackson. I'm going to take a few in to the shop today to get them properly set up as they still need a bit of work done.I'm still rather new to pedals. Totally fallen in love with the ProCo RAT Distortion Pedal and Dunlop Crybaby mainly. I have some others like the Mooer Ocean Machine Reverb/Delay but I've found I prefer to keep it relatively simple. I also got a few of the cheap Boss distortion pedals.

@DatCat I play a bit of everything. I'm very inconsistent. But the biggest influence on me would probably have to be something along the lines of Opeth and their use of light and shade.

@RUSHIFA That's pretty neat! Pedals are a rabbit-hole I've decided not to fall down, since it can get really expensive really quickly especially if you're buying boutique pedals. My main guitar is a cheap 6-string baritone that I got a couple years ago, I took it on tour with me when I played in a band but I still use it a ton even though I just sit at home, haAnd I definitely have a ton of guitars that should get serviced but it's so expensive when you have more than just one or two!

@DatCat Yeah! I agree, haha. I'm leaving it at what I've got. :)What brand is the baritone? I don't think I've played one of them. I kinda wish I was more technical-minded otherwise I'd fix them up myself but I just like to make the noises. I figure it's best to leave it to the professionals! It definitely is expensive...
