       @n1 afaik there isn't any standard for signing messages for addresses other than P2PKH, so newer wallets would have a lot of work to do in order to implement it. https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/10542

       @n1 oh does it? I didn't know that, nice. My impression is that there isn't a well-defined standard, like I think there was for P2PKH addresses (or at least, core had a method for doing so).

       @htimsxela Interesting, yeah I wouldnt be surprised if it only holds true with electrum. You can verify the signatures on https://ichibtc.club/ which are from 1bc addresses
