       I figured out something that may help outIf you click on the options button on the top right of a column they will have an option "unpin" with an "x" in the boxThe "Notifications" bar CANNOT be dismissedThe leftmost column with the tweet creation box CANNOT be unpinnedBut other columns canWhen you pick them from the left most column above the Search bar, they will REPLACE the getting started columnGets it down to 3 columns at least🤷‍♂️

       @God On a desktop, I'm running 4 columns.  The Home column is where those I follow toot's will show.  Notifications are anything I'm tagged in. Local timeline, is all toots from any member of SQV.You may or may not find this to be a workable format for you.
