@hansw hahaha, I honestly wouldnt mind him on mastodon in and of itself. But chances are it will lead to another isolate gab like movement, divide the fediverse, etc.I wouldnt let him on QOTO as he clearly isnt STEM but I also wouldnt defederate from his instance which would likely cause us trouble and I couldnt really see the benefit for QOTO or the fediverse.

@hansw I am technically on twitter, and will very very rarely use it directly. But mostly my posts just get cross posted to twitter. Only time i actively use it is to message a specific friend.

@hansw I found so little interaction on twitter that it never drew much of my time. Its basically just a place to worship celeberties or famous people. I just have one life-long friend who happens to be famous so its literally the only thing he uses as far as social media and we chat often on twitter but he is really the only reason I use it. He is much harder to reach by phone and we probably wouldnt have stayed in touch as much if i relied just on keeping in touch by phone with him.

@freemo depending on the number of people (s)he knows I would suggest other means to connect but then again, I do have some people on Google I follow so I should not judge 🙂The only thing I dropped is facebook and I am thinking about dropping whatsapp too. I do have some friends on facebook who I told I would leave and where to reach me. They now simply ask my wife how I am. This is disturbing to me, people are simply not willing to use anything else.

@hansw I’m not a fan of famous people either, they tend to say whatever gets them the most attention and never their honest opinions.. I simply cant respect that.In the case of my friend, I knew him since such a young age (and he invested in my companies when I was a kid and hired me in all of his startups) that i am stuck with him :)
