:q is a good way to end because you can chain it with other commands, for example :wq.

Hi, i want to know if you'd be a good person and convert this book to PDF and send it to my email, i'm from Dominican Republic a small island in the Caribbean, and we have a community, we can't afford use windows or buy expensive books, so we use GNU/Linux and BSDs distros. The Students needs to learn Linux and Unix cause is a good way to introduce them on computers, students don't need windows to do their homework and things like that. We have collected other books, but we need this because it teach vi and other things, and is a book very hard to find.

and other thing is that we use PDFs because most students don't have a good internet connection, the average here is 5 mbps.
