I now prefer it.Part of being alone is that my people-chooser is broken, so I haven't had any real romantic relationships.I've had two very close friends, 15 years apart. Both died young, as they knew they would.All three of us were more off the planet than on, which made our value systems different than the average bear.I didn't expect to be alive at 58.I hope to live long enough to see Trump's work bear full fruit.

At the time, I was interested in fashion design, then a teacher stole a design I did for class, after telling me it was crap and couldn't be made/worn. @airbones79 @ThomasWic @DuaneCates @loc1000 Ayn Rand was an amazing writer and I've read all her books multiple times, and even her essays. When she moved into philosophy it got kind of dry and boring but I wanted to read it all. I find Anthem, a novella, to be her BEST, and her essay, In defense of Selfishness can be life changing. Duane, they did make a few parts of Atlas Shrugged but still can't get the funding for the last part. Sadly, the movies never do justice in my "book."

An avid reader and yogi she is her own best friend. Me, I was always craving to be with friends, at a party anywhere where there was activity and a crowd. Now, not so much. I love being in the quiet. @EarlThePearls @Baline @ThomasWic I started wearing 511 tactical pants a few years ago, and now the only time I wear jeans is if I'm painting or some other activity that would ruin pants. So comfortable, with pockets in the front for my phone and wallet so I don't have to sit on anything. I know they are not as cool looking as jeans but I finally got old enough to not care.

@ThomasWic I very much relate to these words of yours, Thomas. I just turned 67. I go out to work and to go to the store, etc. and spend almost all of my down time alone and that's the way I like it. When I socialize I feel compromised. "Predators" is a good way of describing too many people including sometimes family. They either want something from you or want to do something to you. But the more time I spend alone, the more I care about people.

@BetsyRossSewedaFlag @ThomasWic Just to let you know, I like many, think Chinese Covid is a curse and nightmare, but BECAUSE I'm immune now, my family doctor needs an RN who's not afraid, available and immune to give vaccinations, so out of bad there's ALWAYS some GOOD in the end. Sometimes we don't see it right away.
