I've been trying to think of an analogy for where were are, and the best one I can think of is the case of the flight mechanics and the B-17.When the Japanese overran the Philippines, they simply couldn't get everyone off the islands. The world wins in an egalitarian state without hierarchy, which is what the proles want.We benefit from having hierarchy correspondent to reality because that way we get competence, where democracy seeks to reward incompetence so "everyone" has a turn at the trough.I favor natural selection for this reason. @ThomasWic I, recently, watched a series called Hellier. It's about the paranormal and occult. They have been discussing the concept of going through an 'initiation'. Part of the initiation process is to reach a moment of complete frustration/loss/doubt. This whole process with Trump and the 2020 Election feels like the entire country is going through an initiation.... and we are NOW at that point of complete frustration.There are 13 days left for an amazing ending.I'll wait for it.

@carolinacally @ThomasWic It has broken my heart to witness the unbridled hatred for DJT. I also struggled with that the reason. I picked up a good book called The Case Against Reality. The author is a cognitive scientist. The majority of people are just not wired to look beyond their senses to really see "reality." Most of the reasoning comes from "herd mentality." We all do to some extent but it would seem that in our countries case it is based on maybe jealousy. That is more primal.
