@jrballesteros05 Install Windows Server 2016/2019. NEVER update. Turn off spyware services, windows update and stuff you don't need.Only sane way to run Windows.

@PrinceAlarming I have just got a Blue Screen of the death. I haven't enough time ( and patient) to take a screenshot. I am recovering the windows. But the recovery mode didn't ask me about partitions. I need to re-partition EFI otherwise I will have the same issue.

@jrballesteros05 @xgqt I actually am in IT, do a lot of things for old people. You would be surprised how many people can work fine with Mint. I don't know you father, but Mint at least is very capable as a Windows replacement.It does totally depend on what applications that person needs, what hardware is installed etc. Like latest and greatest hardware are better off with Manjaro, and things like Office are not supported (like you probably know). But if those two things don't apply, and your father only uses say Chrome, Linux Mint is a very capable option. If it doesn't, I would (personally I am not you so don't take this as a order XD) try and move him to use FOSS software and eventually Linux, like I did with many people.

@devilhacker @xgqt I tried man but my father does not like Linux. I even installed in a old computer but he is quite stubborn with windows. I lost that war with my father. However I installed Linux to my mother and sister's laptops and they haven't had any issue and they are happy. I perfectly know your point but sometimes is impossible with some people.
