Medicaid covers genetic testing for fetuses as routine, ancestry dna tests are popular and inexpensive in the us, and infertile people who require testing to have a baby will probably also find out what their chromosomes are during the course of treatment.

Some of the others do mtDNA or Y-chromosome though.Any woman having a baby after 30 has a higher chance of the baby being karyotyped (risk of Down syndrome), especially prenatally. I'd love to see this become standard for everybody, along with a regular DNA test.
