I had all the symptoms, fever, coughingm couldn't breathe... on and on and like a dumbass I thought "Well, I've never not beaten an illness on my own before and wound up in the hospital. My oxy count was so low the attending phys said he was amazed I was conscious.

@SalvajeUnitario @IrredeemableOne They put me on oxygen, a drip of some kind and steroids... In the end, the diagnosis was possible COPD, or pneumonia. I clearly do not have COPD as I'm totally fine now. I suppose, it could have been a bad case of pneumonia, but it really took almost 7 months after the hospital stay to fully recover.I remember the doctor saying "we really don't know what it was"

I could only get enough oxy if I sat leaned over and concentrated on it.My daughter kept saying "Why are you so damned stubborn!! Go to the damn hospital"Well, I didn't have insurance, so I was trying to ride it out, until one evening I couldn't get any breathe at all... and they called an ambulance, and off I went.

Afterward, I went to talk to the County Covid Coordinator (Serologist at Hospital) to see about getting the ANTIBODY test, ASAP.She asked Why, and I told her. She told me that MANY people on staff, herself included, had the same symptoms in Dec '19. . .. . and they treated MANY patients for those symptoms back then too..I don't trust most of what I hear these days.

@selah18 Selah: at one time, my mom owned a collection agency. She explained to me that they are very negotiable, as are the hospitals themselves. As long as you call them and commit to a regular monthly payment, they will work with you and stop the harrassment. They want their money, not your ruin. Then again, they may be Democrats. But the strongest advocate you have is contacting the VFW. They are awesome with this stuff. I sent many patients to then when I couldn’t help.
