       @joshua the other day I was hanging outside the Chiner restaurant in a shitty, half-vacant strip mall for my order. Half of the fluorescent fixtures were either out or on the fritz, and those which were functional were of different color temperatures. People were walking past wearing masks with their noses in their phones. There was a dude sitting on the sidewalk, his back against the wall of a dollar store, smoking a brown-paper cigarette. I pull out my phone to mindlessly refresh my email, then look up and realize I'm living cyberpunk. The dilapidated strip-mall, people glued to their mobile devices, neon and LED adverts in the windows, my 1911A1 on my hip. I could just as easily been hacking into the network of the check cashing business next to the restaurant to plan a digital heist.
