       SCOTUS has basically said, "we're out" and that it's political. (I agree actually).So let's play politics: Pence needs to issue a statement today calling for final resolutions from the state legislatures with dueling slates.

       @John_Richmond Better that the state legislatures say this to one another as ones who lead by example. That's happening. First GA, now PA, and others will follow in another kind of landslide. Meanwhile, Pence retains impartiality as THEY (the ultimate arbiters) give him something Constitutionally concrete to smack his gavel onto.

       @John_Richmond What very few are seeing here is that the role the VP plays is NOT AS AN ADVOCATE, but A JUDGE - with absolute plenary power which cannot be questioned by the other branches. It would be an ACTIVIST move on REFEREE Pence's part to PRO-ACTIVELY demand anything from the state legislatures. Like a judge "leading the prosecution".He can always acknowledge and decide on unresolved controversies AFTER they have all made their moves and presented their arguments on January 6th.

       @StevenDouglas I'm kinda there with you. But VP is not a judge--he's a politician presiding over a political process in the well of our political body.not a court of law... big margins and uncertainty which he should reduce by reaching out to the states now....

       @John_Richmond Pence is only a judge in an allegorical sense. His legislative duties are limited to a tie-breaking vote. By design. Likewise, and effectively according to Article 12, his electoral vote counting duties.He's not in the fight. He, like Jefferson and others, is the final Supreme Blow in any unresolved fight.What he does there in that role is not subject to question by or appeal to the other branches. The ONLY appeal is a Constitutional Amendment if we don't like it.

       @StevenDouglas @John_Richmond [Amendment 12, not Article 12, I presume.]
