@kelbot while not an update to #TUILauncher itself, you might find these two #shellScript examples to get the volume, and increase the volume, of your snapcast instances, useful: https://github.com/FiXato/tui_launcher/issues/3#issuecomment-750695731

@kelbotI read your reply on GitHub, but am currently not signed in there. Can you expand your reply with the JSON response you get if you do just the curl command and omit the piping to jq?

@kelbot(also, I noticed the 'jsonrpc' ended up on the next line, rather than being part of the actual URL. I assume this is just a paste error on GitHub, and not a newline in the actual command? Just making sure.)

@kelbot had any chance to test if that jq command works? :)

@FiXato Yes! The jq and the get-volume.sh script works now, returning the numeric volume. I haven't gotten further than that yet due to holiday stuff and rebuilding my server :). Hopefully will get to poke at it tonight.

@FiXato The next thing I'm running into is the increase-volume.sh fails saying it can't find get-volume.sh. I tried ~/get-volume.sh and the full path but it still can't find it.

@FiXato The script works otherwise which I confirmed by replacing the get-volume.sh manually with the current volume to test it.

@FiXatoDisregard. I'm a big ole dummy and had a dash in the filename but an underscore in the script X-D.

@kelbotgood to hear! I'll update the code in the comments tomorrow then :)jq is wonderful for extracting and manipulating json data. I hope these scripts act as a nice basis for other ideas you might have. :)

@FiXato Excellent! I definitely plan to get kodi working. Lots of possibilities.
