@kelbot(also, I noticed the 'jsonrpc' ended up on the next line, rather than being part of the actual URL. I assume this is just a paste error on GitHub, and not a newline in the actual command? Just making sure.)

@FiXato Yes! The jq and the get-volume.sh script works now, returning the numeric volume. I haven't gotten further than that yet due to holiday stuff and rebuilding my server :). Hopefully will get to poke at it tonight.

@FiXato The next thing I'm running into is the increase-volume.sh fails saying it can't find get-volume.sh. I tried ~/get-volume.sh and the full path but it still can't find it.
