       @HuskyHey, do you need help implementing card support? It would greatly increase usability of the app. Also supporting embedded img tag would be useful too.

       @thendrix what card? You mean URL previews? They are generated by the instance backend and should be rendering fine.About embedded img... I know it's possible to implement them but I don't really see any usecases for them that cannot be done just by attaching image. To me, embedding opens a great field on breaking clients. However, it can be solved by not loading embedded image until user taps on it...

       @Husky I don't see cards -- json object part of status, similar to polls -- in the Husky android client, but I see them in Pleroma via web browser. They don't seem to be rendered at all. In Husky you just see the text of the 'status' object.I sometimes use img tags for images stored outside of the social media server such as for an RSS feed of a blog or news site. That way if the media is copyrighted it doesn't get pushed to media cache.

       @Husky Sure, I think this post should have one:https://social.hendrixgames.com/notice/A2J7wkzK7jhY3GgXsOI have source code to generate cards as well, which I'm about to release soon.

       @thendrix I don't see a difference.

       @Husky Here's another example comparing web to Husky app:

       @Husky I see "link previews" is off by default in the app, however cards should be different than generating new text previews I would think.

       @thendrix cards are generated by your instance backend.

       @Husky I'm making cards as part of the post pushing to the instance currently. Is that incorrect? Seems to be in the spec.

       @Husky There seems to be some issue of pleroma vs mastodon handling of this, but if I add my own card to the message it seems to work on both instances. I'm using the "new" card as part of status JSON not the separate card message.Perhaps one of the instance types/instances I use is not generating a card, so it takes my POST content card much like how img tags "just work" on both.
