:tribes: Merry Chrismas to me! 🤯 Just got Debian installed on this giant Dell PowerEdge r720. It has 32 CPU cores, 64 GB RAM, and eight 3.5” HDD slots. Cost: $450. I plan to run VMs on this and use it to learn about server hardware, but in the long term it will likely become a storage node for Tribes.This is the first step towards hardware freedom. Soon I’ll be hosting Pleroma servers from out of my living room. Later, a datacenter.I’ll need to find a better place to put it, thought… it’s absolutely enormous (much bigger than I expected).
