@Gina I live in the #Philippines where there are beaches like that and temperatures in my area are usually around 30 Celsius.I can tell you that I would like nothing more than to live in a place where the cold hurts my face 😅

@Gina European English speaking warm country in the middle of Mediterranean sea. Motorbike riding all year round. For me that was enough to leave Alps winter behind me. No regrets! :-D

@damko yeah it’s a great little engine. I took mine touring around Scotland and it never missed a beat. They’re a lot of bike for the money.I since replaced it with a Tracer 900.

@kev well let's not talk about prices. To me motorbike prices are ridiculously high. In Malta even more. I wish there were a brand sticking to original principles of motorbike: cheap, long lasting, self fixable, basic electronic and far less releases. A bike can be a beauty for 20 years or more if thought well

@kev @damko The Triumph engines sound lovely. I used to ride with a guy that had a Speed Triple. It sounded so smooth - almost like a sewing machine when idling. I, on the other hand, was riding a twin that sounded like a bag of spanners in a washing machine.

@jamie @kev oh well the triple is a masterpiece. AFAIK the new triumph engine has a different firing order. It still sounds good but not as good as the triple at mid ranges imo.

@damko @jamie it does. It fires 1-3-2 I think. I used to have a tiger, that was my first triple. I love them now. They’re the best of both worlds - low down torque like a twin, but like to rev, like an IL4.

@jamie @kev twins can sound very well too. I'm on stock exhaust on versus and it's fine. I wish I could hear a bit more the aspiration sound though.

@damko along that vein, I’m seriously thinking about picking up a Royal Enfield interceptor as a fun little bimbling bike. If I did, I’d keep that as my second bike for quite some time I think.
