listening to him talk about HIV/AIDS and I can completely understand why he was a global warming skeptic. this guy was inside the sausage factory and saw first hand how Big Science helps politics to manufacture crises for their own gain so they get flooded with grant money. he's a real whistleblower

@augustus >things that arent therePCR doesnt make things that arent there, it copies (target) things that ARE there, even if there is literally 1 of said thing, you cant measure (very well) how much of the target 'thing' the PCR process multiplied. You have no idea if its one inactive antibody or maybe a 1000 or 10000 active antibodies in the original sample, all you know it is actually there. We cant easily tell if its an actually relevant amount of antibodies. +, you may just randomly have said antibodies in your body for REASONS such as similar viri, or whatever the fuck your body decided to make that antibody for. Just need 1 in the sample.

@lebronjames75 I know but you can also ask it to look for something that could be linked to the virus and say it's present therefore we can infer the virus is present when it might not be. that was my understanding of his response. if i'm wrong then fine

@augustus also it fucks up if your DNA/bacterias/dead virus particles share a portion of DNA/RNA with the target virus protein's code, which is another cause of false positives, which can sometimes happen

@augustus I almost bought a qPCR machine as shit was hitting the fan, but the used lab equipment dealer told me about how easy it was to get false positives with PCR and that I'd need to have a clean room and it was as much as an art as a science to get valid results, and the more I researched PCR I realized how finicky it was. I haven't researched the antibody test yet..............I did end up buying Mullis' autobiography, seems like a guy I would've worshipped in my youth: acid drenched maverick scientist :blobcatjustright:

Mullis says if counties can prove they have higher rates of AIDS they will get more money from the government so there is a rush to overestimate the prevalence of AIDS. Mullis calls out Anthony Fauci for being one of the people doing this. That was 30 years ago. Now Fauci is the public face of the coronavirus public health response. Mullis died last year a few months before the pandemic began.

@Sabex I don't know but I'd recommend looking into Kary Mullis to know a bit more about the debate on HIV/AIDS and exactly what it is he believes. He was involved with the start of it advising them on how to use PCR to look for HIV. He singled out Fauci in particular as a fraud on the issue.

@augustus @Sabex Mullis goes into it more in depth in his book, “Dancing Naked in the Mind Field”. IIRC, an AIDS diagnosis is made whenever a patient tests positive for HIV, and has any one of a number of other diseases/infections (e.g. pneumonia).
